I'm really enjoying  being back in school :)

Last week I got a call from a rep referring me to a job, one that I certainly could have taken. I'm sure they would hire me. I'm sure they would pay me well. I'm sure that I would be doing exactly what I was doing when I got laid off. Which is exactly why I thanked him for thinking about me and promptly threw away the number :)
Why would I do that?

The question from the Unemployment agency was: would you quit school if you found suitable full time employment?

duh.. no.... We don't go to school to quit, we go to school to finish..  duh....

My class is really small, there are Seven people in the whole class, and I know we're gonna be so tight by the end of this thing It feels like when I first started college at the community college level. I met so many of my very best friends there and this has exactly the same dynamics. I wish I could hang out with them for lunch every day but the reality of being unemployed kindof makes that impossible. But I'm making time to do it at least once a week :)

Oh! Sheit I forgot! This week I drove to Austin to see Cake! haha they were so awesome! They played at Stubbs Barbeque, and it was soo good. I mean real lighters in the air. Real herb being passed around. Real dancing and good music. It was a total time warp :-p

After the show was over I drove back to Dallas, got home around 3am. Got a little nap in, went to school and took my physiology exam, made a 95 :) came home and collapsed....

I've been teaching a lot too... five classes in the past seven days! It's good, the more I teach the better I am. I taught Sun Salutations to my class yesterday. It's a beautiful series of movements that I think provides the body with every movement that is essential to basic health and flexibility.
